My name is Christine Erman MS, MBA and I am a working model and advocate. After retiring six years ago from my role as a practice administrator in the medical field, I now work as a direct support professional, caring for my niece, who is disabled and has been diagnosed with PTSD. I am passionate about using my modeling platform to advocate for others and raise awareness on important issues.
My connection to mental illness, particularly PTSD, is deeply personal and transformative. I’ve faced the challenges of PTSD, which has shaped my journey toward resilience and self-discovery. These struggles have fueled my passion for advocacy and supporting others who face similar battles. I understand the importance of mental health awareness and am committed to breaking the stigma surrounding it. My experiences have made me stronger, allowing me to inspire others to find strength.
It is a great pleasure to be an off the mask model, it gives me the opportunity to show others that it is ok to talk about mental health issues and get the help they need. Everyone is affected by it whether they know it or not. It could be within themselves or someone they know. We need more kindness, compassion, inclusion, and education. The biggest challenge with mental health is that it is invisible, which often leads people to be unkind or dismissive. I want to help change this perspective and bring more compassion and understanding to the conversation!
