I am Lynne Fisher and I am 58 years old. I live with my life partner and our funny cat in a beautiful home. I've worked as a Spanish teacher, librarian, day care teacher and daycare licensor. I have two Master's degrees and speak Spanish. I love Fleetwood Mac tribute bands!!!
I am in recovery from Schizo affective disorder with depression. The most effective treatment when I am sick is ECT. I'm so grateful for ECT and the support of my parents. My journey with mental illness and recovery has made me more empathetic than ever. I love to help others in my role as Help Line Manager at NAMI Rochester!!!
As an Off the Mask Model I want to show people that recovery is possible. Mental illness can strike anyone, but hope is always there, for everyone. My values of empathy and appreciation of diversity are in perfect alignment with that of NAMI-NYS.
