I have worked in the healthcare industry for most of my life and have had the opportunity to work with mental health patients. I have always showed empathy, compassion and patience for those suffering from any/all mental health issues. Knowing first hand what they maybe going through allowed me to care for them and made them feel at ease when dealing with myself as well as others. I have always wanted to put a voice to my story because I know that I don't "Look" like the stereotype portrayed.
