Good Side of Bad at the Palace Theatre

Presented by the Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance (S&PAA), this special screening of Good Side of Bad brings together filmmakers, mental health advocates, and community members for an evening of deep reflection and connection.

Good Side of Bad follows Florence, a young photographer, who suffers a severe mental health breakdown which brings her adult siblings together to support her through treatment and recovery.

Based on the bestselling novel, The Good Side of Bad, this raw and intimate family drama dives into humanity's dark places while illuminating the love, laughter, and light discovered when you reconnect with those closest to you.

• 8:45–9:45 PM – Filmmaker Q&A & Discussion – The post-film discussion will be hosted by NAMI Syracuse and NAMI NYS, featuring filmmakers Alethea Root and Jules Bruff, peer advocate and Schizophrenic.NYC founder Michelle Hammer, and NAMI NYS Schizophrenia Advisory Committee Member Angel Stanley.
